musical writings

Worst news of the year. And it only started.

Six years ago I fell in love with a guy who tought me who David was. And David was old at that time. The guy was married. Now i'm married too. We all shall die in the end.

Googling David Bowie is a natural insinct when you find out the news. Listening to Space oddity, suffering from not wanting to dance like you used to on the Tina T. duet; and then of course, reading about his whole life: where he went to school, how his first hit got in the Bilboard, who he got married to, how he managed to dress like a fashion designer,  what he ate in  dinner time that gave him cancer.

Maybe if you're not english enough you'll start translating the lyrics of his songs, just to figure out what the hell was all that metaphor about.

I try to keep away from phrases like "he left this world leaving something behind". I guess writing isn't actually helpful, not because something else is but because this is what you do. You commemorate. And you feel sorry. I hope he enjoyed living.

In my happy times i felt he wrote for me one or two songs. It's not schizophrenia. It's an acomplished mission of an artist. To be able to reach an audience you don't know they exist in the first place.
Youth divided in generations felt the same. Like they were meant to hear and listen and enjoy those music and words.

He was running in front of the time. That's how i saw him. Always ahead of everything that's going on. A musical scientist who actuallly knows things before happening. An acting astrologer who predicts trend by kickin' mainstream asses.

nothing about that man was the same as everyone else who got up on the stage. It's not admiration. It is a feeling of doing things properly. Correct. Like starting to live on another planet.
nothing to be compared with what you were used to before.

At least on this  11th of january almost all the planet listens to his songs.

What can you posssibly say about him?

Living is worse that dying, However, music is there to make it easier.
David died.

the first thing he did just like the rest of us was the last in his lifetime.
